This painting was created in response to the pressure we are living in.
Systems that claim stability are showing strain. Freedom is being tested. Control is tightening in subtle and not so subtle ways. The surface may look structured, but underneath something is shifting.
In Fault Lines, I built strong architectural forms and deliberately pushed them to the point of fracture. The cracks are intentional. They represent the moment when pressure becomes visible — when what has been compressed for too long begins to break open.
Not every rupture is destruction. Sometimes rupture is necessary. When freedom is restricted, when voices are narrowed, when truth is managed, something has to give.
This work holds that decisive moment.
The instant where tension becomes force.
Where pressure turns into resistance.
